To those who used to read my column, thanks a lot for welcoming me back. For those of you who are new readers of The Deal, thanks for giving me a chance. I know a lot of people may not agree with a lot of what I say, but I hope I can at least provide a view that's original and interesting. Oh yeah, and don't smoke crack…

The Rise of the WWF, The Deal, The World's Greatest PPV Preview

Real Name: Matt Spence
Pen Name: Matt Spence
Birthdate: September 21, 1978
Hometown: Baltimore, Maryland
Height/Weight: 5'10" and about 195
Date You Started at the Oratory: February, 1999 (The Beginning)
Favorite Current Wrestler(s): Chris Benoit, Eddy Guerrero, Triple H, Kurt Angle, Steve Austin
Favorite Wrestler of All-Time: Ric Flair, Dynamite Kid, Ricky Steamboat, Shawn Michaels, Bret Hart, Arn Anderson, Tiger Mask (Sayama), and Jumbo Tsuruta.
Favorite Current Tag-Teams: Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz
Favorite Tag-Teams of All-Time: The British Bulldogs, Arn Anderson & Tully Blanchard, The Midnight Express
Favorite Current Manager or Diva: Trish Stratus is pretty amazing. I have no inhibitions about approaching women, and I'd be really intimidated trying to approach her.
Favorite Theme Music: Austin's classic/original "Stone Cold" theme is probably the one theme that I'll never forget. Perhaps the best pairing of theme music and wrestler ever. As actual songs, no wrestler theme music is ever legitimately good.
Favorite Match(es): Austin/Hart at WM13, Hart/Benoit on 10/4/99 Nitro, Flair/Steamboat at WrestleWar '89, Michaels/Ramon at SummerSlam '95, and Benoit/Great Sasuke from the '94 Super J Cup.
If You Could Book a Dream Match, Who Would Be the Participants and What Would the Match Be?: Regardless of the other opponent, Benoit is a staple in just about every dream match of mine. Benoit vs. Dynamite Kid, Benoit vs. Flair, Benoit vs. Michaels, Benoit vs. Misawa, Kawada, Akiyama, or Kobashi, and numerous others.
Favorite Movie(s): The Godfather I & II, The Brothers McMullen, Gladiator, Scarface, Goodfellas, Swingers, and Saving Private Ryan. This year has seen a lot of good movies, too, with Traffic, Snatch, Crouching Tiger
Favorite Actor(s): Ed Burns, Robert DeNiro, Al Pacino, Toby Maguire, Mike McGlone, and Ed Norton
Favorite Actress(es): Gwenyth Paltrow, Meg Ryan, Charlize Theron, Kate Hudson, and Jodie Foster are my actual favorite actresses. The actresses that would be my favorite to have sex with reads as a much larger list, as I'm sure it does with most everyone.
Favorite Beverage(es): Diet Coke (I honestly couldn't function without 10 to 15 per day)
Favorite Alcohol: Used to be Miller Lite and vodka based mixed drinks, but now I just go for the Scotch. Chivis Regal is the best, but real expensive.
Favorite Food: Filet Mignon, hands down, but amongst food I eat on a regular basis, baked chicken breast is something I never tire of.
Favorite Pro Sports Team: Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Orioles, & Maryland Terps Basketball
